New CD release on Absinth Records !

Mini CD-R release by Gilles Aubry on the brand new Absinth Records 'Berlin electronics' (015), along with 3 of the best berlin improvisers:

Andrea Ermke plays individual arrangements of so called "field recordinngs" sounds.

The 3 pieces by Gilles Aubry (Volutes I-III) are generative compositions for computer. Each of them is based on the exploration of a different sound fragment, involving chance operations and feedback systems.
The programming with its imperfections and surprises is presented here in a raw gesture without further editing.”

The pieces of Annette Krebs are mostly variations of a pre-investigated material. This is divided into different shorter parts. A part/module can consist of a pre-determined sequence of sounds, noise. Depending on the context it's possible to vary these modules more or less strong. It is also possible to organize the material to something completely new within a musical context with others. An important aspect at this is surprise and tension.

Frost by Ignaz Schick is made of drones created with a handful of organ pipes (bugled by mouth). the marocan raita (only the mouthpiece) and bowed turntable notes. The material was contrasted by various harsh object sounds and electronic noise. In general the sounds were looped electronically and layered in various voices, often detuned with different micro-cent ratios.
